View Article  Tickets For Sale

As I mentioned in my last post, my brother and I have bought our season tickets again.  We are very lucky to have the opportunity to have season tickets.  With that being said, the seats are 20% higher then they were last year.  So, we have decided to sell 27 regular season games as one package deal.  If you are interested, go to eBay to view the listing.

Playing baseball in a calendar month for 2008 against someone other than your own team or a bunch of college kids.  This, to me, is the indication that the season has finally started.

I think it is going to be important for the Mets to break camp healthy (obviously) and start the season off quick.  They need to do everything and anything possible to shake off any remaining doubts from 2007.  I like to hear stories in camp so far about Wagner wanting to plunk a college kid for trying to bunt and Beltran responding to the Phillies/Rollins.  My friends and I were on different sides of the fence, in regards to Beltran, my thoughts is that I am excited to see such an unlikely Met speak up and have some balls, (I just hope he can deal with the boos all season long in Philly).  This team lacked fire and personality during all of 2007 (except for the celebratory  hand shakes, which I am happy to hear will be something of the past this year).  They never really got "it" going.  Well, thankfully 2007 is done.  We live and learn, move on and create new moments.

There should be some interesting story lines this year.  Who will be the #5, will Pelfrey finally emerge as a major league ready talent?  Will "dirty" Sanchez recover from almost 1 1/2 years away from baseball and how will the balance of the bullpen be built?  Will Delgado bounce back from a tough 2007?  Can Alou get 500 at bats?  Will Pedro throw over 190 innings?  How will Schneider handle the rotation?

As in past seasons, in 2008 I will blog my game experiences.  My brother and I have season tickets again and look forward to the last season at Shea; it is bitter/sweet.  I hope to get my father to a few more games this year, as Shea will always remind me of him.  I wonder how many games I will go to this year?  I wonder how close to the movie "Fever Pitch" my life and apartment will become.
