View Article  My Own Corona Commercial
I posted before the playoffs started that I was going to the Caribbean for some R&R.  The resort I stayed at in the Turks & Caicos was unbelievable, I highly recommend it. While I was there, I staged my own little Corona commercial before Game 1 of the NLDS.  I thought I would share it with you.

View Article  New York Mets Fantasy Camp, Just Living the Dream

What started as and idea and joke has turned into a reality.  This January I will be attending The New York Mets Fantasy Camp with my brother.   I am certain that this will be one of the best weeks of my live.  Myself, 30, and my brother, 35, have been preparing for the past month or so.  We have bought our wood bats, we have taken time at the batting cages in Manhattan and started to throw a baseball (goodbye softball) around.

There was one moment when I said that I HAD to experience this.  I came across a blog called Middle-Aged Men Pulling Muscles.  It was written by a man who went to fantasy camp, and he paints a picture of pure bliss.  He had the ability to wear the uniform, play on the fields, meet the past stars and create lifelong memories.

I look forward to playing baseball again.  Softball sometimes doesn't cut it.  I look forward to meeting my childhood idol from the Mets, Howard Johnson, and maybe even playing for his team.  I look forward to facing my brother again.

I plan on keeping my blog each day at fantasy camp. More to come soon.
View Article  Season Tickets 2007, Purchased Today
I started keeping this blog last year because I bought a mini-season package with my brother.  He was unable to go to many games because of the birth of his first child.  So, in hopes of meeting more Mets fans and sharing my experiences with online readers, this blog was created.  Thousands of readers and amazing season of baseball and memories later I am looking forward to the 2007 season.

Today full season packages went on sale.  Last year we had a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday package, as well as a Saturday package.  This year the Mets are telling us that if you purchase a full season package for 2007 and 2008, you will be on a priority list for 2009 in the new stadium.  So, after much discussion, my two brothers and another friend pulled the trigger.

Next year should be an amazing year at Shea, and the fans are responding already.  From what I understand full season packages are going to be offered in the Upper Boxes, which I can't remember happening before.  We got good seats, Box Mezz on the railing.  I can't wait until opening day!

As for the Hot Stove season, I am looking forward to the negotiations with Boras for Zito.  It appears he will start paying more attention to Zito now that the Matsuzaka deal is done.  Stay tuned to Matt's MetsBlog for all the details and Hot Stove updates.
View Article  Upcoming Auction, Meet David Wright

Hello from the Hot Stove Season.  I am not going to try and write about the Winter meetings or rumors, I just suggest you go to www.metsblog.com for that.  Matt has all of this covered.

However, I am going to tell you about a fantastic upcoming charity auction.  Steve Geppi's Morphy Auctions, together with Authentic Memorabilia  have announced the Martin Luther King III 2006 celebrity auction.  You can bid on all items in the auction through www.LiveAuctioneers.com and eBay Live Auctions.

Included in this auction is a Knicks Luxury Suite, NY Ranges Luxury Suite, Meet Walter Cronkite for lunch in New York and other sports related items.

However, here is the most noteworthy lot for Mets fans:

Lot 9: Meet New York Met David Wright on the Field at Shea Stadium.

More items will be added to this auction, and will include meeting Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran on the field at Shea.  Happy bidding!
